National Photography Day | June 15th, 2021
It's not a secret. I LOVE taking photos. I always have. Even when I was younger, I always had a disposable camera ready to go! I started to get more serious about photography when my daughter, Scarlett, was born. I was lucky enough to have my sister, who took photography in school, teach me so much and let me practice with her camera! We started collaborating on photoshoots in 2015 and we have continued to grow our business together since then. I suppose it's a "better late than never" moment for me.
In the beginning, it was a side business for the both of us. Fast forward to 2020, I began focusing on photography full time and I'm continuing to do so now in 2021. Over the years, we have helped many brides with their dresses, been the first to congratulate newlyweds, the first to meet new babies, been the secret keepers to many exciting announcements, and have had the honor of capturing many special milestones for so many families. There has been a lot of learning along the way and I am grateful for each and every opportunity to improve my skills and grow our business doing something that we are so passionate about.
I absolutly love capturing moments for families and being a part of so many milestones. Graduations, engagements, boudoir, weddings, maternity, newborn, birthdays, branding, etc., each session and event is so special to me. We have met so many incredible families along the way and been able to stay in touch with many older friends thanks to photography.
So much thought goes into each photoshoot and after each session I cannot wait to get back to my desk and go through the images. I always end up with my own set of favorites and I'm always so curious about which images my clients will favorite, I get so excited when I see how families display the images that we took in their homes and when we get cards in the mail with images from their shoot, it's the best!
To celebrate National Photography Day, I thought it would be fun to share a round up of some client favorites that were recently shared on our Facebook page. It meant the world to me to see each photo that was shared and It brought back so many memories of tearing up our houses for mini sessions before our photo studio was built!
Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us along the way and for allowing us to capture your memories! It truly means the world to us. Here's to another year of growing and capturing more memories!
